personal application essay #2 ( periodical examination in Bible Study )

Personal Application Essay #2 (periodical examination in Bible Study)

Title of the Chosen Article: "Facing Worries About The Future"
by Angelo Subida
07/07/06

"worrying is the most common sin that people or even a Christian could commit", this was according to this article.

By the way, who doesn't have any worries in their life??

I think, majority of the people have their own worries in life, it may be so simple worrying that tend to get big, or it might be as large as the earth that you're being laden and cannot do anything because of it.

As I observed, many people are worrying too much about the things that are happening in their daily life. For example, a person might worry regarding of what she'll wear for this day, about his/her hairstyle, pimples, material things, money, how do they act on a certain day, and many more..

But we can' t blame them for what they are worrying for. Maybe, they are just too pressured because of the expectations of the people around them.. They might be afraid of being teased and rejected by others.

****For instance, a person would worry about what should she wear on a particular occasion so that others would not criticize her.

Embarassed In my own experience, I worried too much when my friend misplaced my chemistry notebook. I almost cry like a child because of it, so I pray to God that night.

I really thank God for answering my prayer. my friend have given my notebook back on me on the next day, and he said that it was on his and her girlfriend's locker...

InnocentWe should remember "that all men are created by God uniquely to the other."

WE are only people so we are certainly not perfect. That means, we're just humans and have our own worries, BUT we people, must not over worry for the simple things that are happening in our life. We must not be "exaggerated" in worrying things that are not significant to our spiritual growth.

*************************************************************************************************

As our case today, people worry too much (like me) in the things and events that will happen in the future.

Me myself was worrying for what would be my life after high school, after college and after I finish college.

I don't know what will happen in the future.

I don't know what was God planning for me.

But as far as I know, God will never live me neither forsake me. I should just give my complete trust on him.- being FAITHFUL.

*************************************************************************************************

After reading this article, I've learned that worrying is not essential in one's life, especially if that person really have faith on God and to his promises.

**Real servants of God placed their worries before God**

i think, i've read this line before but i couldn't remember where.. just read it and try to apply it on your life and tell me if it works....(for me, it works a little somehow..)

"when you're mad, pause and count 1-10 in your mind, slowly. "

"when you're really mad, pause and count 1-30 in your mind, slowly."

personal application essay #1 (prelims)

Personal application essay about the article:

"Control Your Anger Before It Controls You"

This article was good. Now I know how could I control my anger.

Recently, when I'm mad or angry, I definitely do things that are wrong. I think of a way how could I revenge to the person who hurt me, perhaps, I'll hide something that belongs to him/her, punch and shout at him/her. Sometimes, I just cry, think and wish that he/she is not here.

After reading this article, I've learned that I must stop doing all the things that I'm doing lately. I should now start applying the suggestions given.

I'll always bear in mind the seven things suggested in this article [1.) Calm your self down, 2.) Find safe outlets for your anger, 3.) Forgive to be free, 4.) Exercise your body, 5.) Seek the company and support of friends, 6.) Listen to soothing music or watch a movie, 7.) Pray for peace.] in order to avoid things that I'll surely regret later on.
